It’s official! Our 11-foot wide, 1,800 pound, animated neon sign won the Signs of the Times Magazine International Sign Contest Readers’ Choice Award! There were more than 17,000 votes cast.

Our sign uses 680 feet of neon tubing and 50 transformers to create an elegant peacock whose feathers fan out 200 times an hour. The concept for our sign originated in the mind of Joe Edwards and it was designed by Hope Edwards with contributions from Kiko Obata & Co. and built by Piros Signs. Great work everyone! This is a big win for the St. Louis region.

We hope that all of St. Louis can be proud of this vibrant addition to our city’s streetscapes. Next time you are in The Loop swing by Peacock Loop Diner and snap your photo with the sign!

Thank you to everyone for voting!
